Litigation Paralegal
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 DOE
Location: Downtown San Diego, CA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
A well-established downtown San Diego law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its growing litigation practice. The firm represents employers and businesses in a variety of employment, litigation, and business-related matters and is looking for a skilled legal professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in all phases of litigation while working closely with attorneys on complex and high-profile matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, revise, file, and serve pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
- Handle state and federal court filings, including electronic filing through OneLegal and other e-filing platforms
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines, hearings, and case milestones
- Coordinate service of process and document production
- Assist attorneys with case management from inception through trial
- Organize and maintain case files and litigation documents
- Provide administrative and legal support as needed to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Extensive experience with electronic court filing (e-filing)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Strong background in preparing pleadings, discovery, and litigation calendars
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Paralegal Certificate
- Experience with employment law and/or defense-side litigation
- Ability to provide both substantive paralegal support and legal administrative assistance when needed
